Countries. Australia an ABU member country

Australia is one of the biggest states in the world, Is a country located in Oceania, but is normally associated to the Asia-Pacific region. This country has been taking part in every edition of the ABU TV Song Festival, and the ABU Radio Song festival since the very beginning of the show.



SBS (Special Broadcasting Service) the state broadcaster of Australia, which is an entity founded in 1975, is one of the strongest broadcasters in the Asia-Pacific broadcasting Union. This broadcasting is one of the founders of the ABU TV Song Festivals in order to promote the cultural diversity of the region. The network has taken part in every edition of both events so far. 

Entertainment industry.

Australia, along with New Zeland, is one of the few English speaking countries in the region. This coutry has got a vibrant music scene with some famous music starts who have been internationally recognised.

Venues.

Many venues would be suitable in order to host both of the ABU Song Festivals in case that the SBS was interested to host the event. The Sydney Opera, one of the most emblematic music halls in the world could be the right venue in order to host those events.
